W&L Wrestling Rolls Past Randolph

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Washington and Lee University men's wrestling team turned in the second straight dominant road performance on Saturday afternoon, defeating Randolph College 46–6 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference dual. The Generals won nine of 10 bouts, piling up eight bonus-point victories, including five technical falls and two falls, to pull away early and never look back.

Washington and Lee scored in every weight from 133 through heavyweight, using sustained offensive pressure and depth across the lineup to secure its second decisive ODAC win of the week.

Up Next:  Washington and Lee returns home on Thursday, Feb. 5, hosting Greensboro College at 6 p.m. inside the Class of 1969 Doremus Gymnasium. The dual will serve as the Generals' Senior Night, honoring the program's graduating student-athletes prior to the start of competition.

After Randolph opened the dual with a forfeit at 125, the Generals immediately seized control. Vincent Ziccardi ignited the scoring with an 18–0 technical fall at 133, and the momentum never slowed. Calvin Wiedemer followed with a quick tech fall at 141, while Evan Lindner added another at 149 to push W&L firmly in front.

Washington and Lee continued to dominate the middle of the lineup, as Evan Owen battled to a decision at 157 before a forfeit at 165 extended the lead. Devin Sweeney and Sam Tignor closed the upper-middle weights with back-to-back falls at 174 and 184, respectively, and the Generals capped the dual with consecutive technical falls from Maxx Miller at 197 and Carter Stack at heavyweight.
