CLEVELAND — Washington and Lee University turned in a standout fall across its athletic programs, checking in at No. 18 nationally in the Division III fall standings of the Learfield Directors' Cup and leading all Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) institutions.

The Generals totaled 228 points, finishing as the top ODAC program in the standings and sitting five points ahead of rival Lynchburg, which ranks 20th with 222 points following the fall season.

Nationally, Tufts (NESCAC) leads the Division III standings with 485.00 points, followed by Johns Hopkins (Centennial) at 454.50 points, while Washington University in St. Louis (UAA) rounds out the top three with 358.50 points.

Washington and Lee's fall success was fueled by championship performances and deep postseason runs across multiple sports. Both the men's and women's cross country teams captured ODAC titles, with the men also winning the NCAA Regional Championship and finishing 20th at nationals. The women followed with a runner-up finish at regionals and placed 15th at the NCAA Championships.

Three additional Generals programs earned NCAA Tournament bids. Women's soccer delivered one of the strongest seasons in program history, going 18-2-3 overall, winning the ODAC Championship with a perfect conference record, and advancing to the NCAA Round of 16. Volleyball added another ODAC title and followed it with a trip to the NCAA Regional Quarterfinals, while men's soccer earned an NCAA berth after an ODAC runner-up finish.

Altogether, the Generals combined for a 73-26-8 record across fall sports, including a 38-7-1 mark in conference play, showcasing the depth and consistency of Washington and Lee athletics throughout the fall season.
