LEXINGTON, Va. — Washington and Lee University has announced a new partnership with Teamworks, becoming an Elite Partner, on Tuesday, November 25.
The collaboration will streamline communication, compliance, and operations across all of W&L's 24 varsity athletic programs, enhancing the overall experience for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
"Washington and Lee University is excited to become an Elite Partner with Teamworks across our entire athletic department," said
Jan Hathorn, Washington and Lee University's Michael F. Walsh Director of Athletics. "This platform will transform how we manage our programs by centralizing communication, streamlining complicated scheduling, and combining essential administrative and compliance workflows. It will not only enhance our operational efficiencies for our coaches and staff but, most importantly, will provide our student-athletes with a single, intuitive platform to manage their demanding schedules and responsibilities."
As part of the Elite package, W&L Athletics will utilize Teamworks Hub in addition to Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting, which the department launched to this summer, to centralize department operations. Together, these platforms will serve as a unified command center to support communication, scheduling, collaboration, and NCAA compliance.

- Digital forms and workflows that streamline tracking and reporting.
- Travel itineraries and planning tools with real-time updates and role-based visibility.
- News posts and announcements to keep all teams and administrators aligned.

Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting (formerly ARMS) will further modernize W&L's operations by automating key processes and maintaining institutional control over NCAA compliance. Key benefits include:
- A comprehensive recruiting database that consolidates data from multiple sources into one accessible platform.
- Automated workflows and reports that ensure consistent and accurate recordkeeping.
- Personalized and compliant communication tools with automatic activity logging.
- Eligibility, roster, and academic tracking features that improve visibility and compliance oversight.
"We're thrilled to expand our partnership with Washington and Lee," stated Zach Watson, the Teamworks' Senior Manager of Sales.
