No. 25 Generals Women Win 12 Events to Defeat Lynchburg

LEXINGTON, Va. — The 25th-ranked Washington and Lee University women's swimming team delivered a dominant all-around performance on Friday evening, winning 12 of 14 events to defeat the University of Lynchburg, 193–68, at the W&L Natatorium.

The Generals controlled nearly every race from start to finish, led by multiple-event winners Maria Jellig, Peighton Kruzel, and Celia Bredehoeft. W&L swept the top three in several events and secured at least one top-three finisher in all 14 races to improve to 2–1 in dual meet competition.


Up Next: Washington and Lee returns to action with a split weekend schedule. The Generals travel to Chicago for the Chicago Shoot Out, competing on Friday, November 7, at 4 p.m. CT and again on Saturday, November 8, at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Meanwhile, select swimmers will compete at home against Southern Virginia University on Friday, November 7, at 6 p.m. in the W&L Natatorium.
