LEXINGTON, Va. – Jan Hathorn, Washington and Lee University's Michael F. Walsh Director of Athletics, announced that 414 student-athletes earned the Scholar-Athlete Award for achieving a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher during the recently completed fall term in December.
The university's 591 student-athletes combined for an outstanding 3.692 GPA while completing 9,550 credit hours, with 23 student-athletes studying abroad during the fall term.
The women's soccer team led all programs with a department-best 3.8 team GPA, and none of the 24 varsity programs recorded a team GPA below 3.400.
