FOREST, Va. — The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2021-22 All-Academic Team on Monday and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.
The Generals totaled 451 of the 2,505 All-Academic Team members named from the 15 member institutions. Next on the list was Shenandoah with 291 and Lynchburg with 278.
Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team is open to any student-athlete that competes in a conference-sponsored sport, regardless of academic class. Prospective honorees must achieve at least a 3.25 grade-point average for the year to be considered for an ODAC All-Academic Award.
The Blue and White compiled a 218-76-4 (.738) overall record during the 2021-22 school year, claiming 11 conference championships (Field Hockey, Football, Men's Swimming, Men's Tennis, Riding, Volleyball, Women's Golf, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Swimming, Women's Tennis, Wrestling).
Additionally, the Generals seized the ODAC's Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup for the 20th straight year.
