INDIANAPOLIS – The Washington and Lee women's 400 freestyle relay claimed Honorable Mention All-America honors on Saturday to close out the team's efforts at the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships.
Highlights from the meet:

Brynn Martinson (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg), seniors
Turner Bobbitt (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) and
Claudia Barnett (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) and sophomore
Sophia Rollo (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) placed 16th during the finals of the 400 free relay on Saturday evening with a time of 3:27.86.
-The quartet earned a spot in the finals after placing 13th during the prelims on Saturday morning with a time of 3:28.28. This marks the sixth All-America citation in Barnett's career, the fourth for Bobbitt and the first for both Martinson and Rollo.

Sara Gaston (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) were also in action as individuals during the morning session. Martinson finished 45th in the 100 free (52.15), while Rollo and Gaston finished 23rd (2:03.63) and 31st (2:05.68) in the 200 back.

With their two points earned in the 400 free relay, the Generals finished the 2022 Division III Championship meet in 42nd out of 46 teams that earned points over the course of the four-day meet.
