LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's swimming team defeated Centre by a score of 182-131 in the team's season-opening meet on Friday evening.
Highlights from the Meet:
-The Generals came in first in 11 of the 14 races on the night, including nine individual races and both relays. Seven different swimmers totaled the nine individual wins, with two Generals providing multiple solo victories.

Luke Nagel (Wayne, Pa. / Conestoga) and first-year
Dalton Jobe (Henrico, Va. / Collegiate School) highlighted the Blue and White's efforts on the night with two individual wins each. Nagel was the victor in the 500 free (5:00.74) and 1000 free (10:19.45), while Jobe won the 200 free (1:43.88) and 200 IM (1:57.76).
-Coming in next was junior
Will Hughes (Fairfax, Va. / James W. Robinson Secondary) who not only swam on both winning relays, but also won the 50 free (21.93) to help the team to three wins.
-First-year
Thomas Denton (Essex, Vt. / Essex) was the final General to aid in multiple victories, as he swam on the 200 medley relay (1:35.29) and touched first in the 100 fly (52.48). Denton added a second-place performance in the 200 fly (2:00.86) as well.
