PITTSBURGH – The 23rd-ranked Washington and Lee women's swimming team fell by a score of 160-102 on the road to 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon on Saturday.
Highlights from the meet:
-The Generals won five events on the day and logged 16 top-three finishes. In total, seven different swimmers totaled 14 Top 3 performances.
-The team was led by sophomore
Brynn Martinson (Charlotte, N.C. / South Mecklenburg), who won three individual events and helped the 200 free relay (1:38.78) to a runner-up finish. Her individual wins came in the 50 free (24.66), 100 free (54.50) and 200 free (1:57.38).

Sophia Rollo (Haddonfield, N.J. / Haddonfield Memorial) and senior
Caroline Baber (Richmond, Va. / Collegiate School) rounded out the W&L winners, as Rollo took the top spot in the 200 IM (2:11.37) and Baber won the 100 fly (58.71). Rollo also finished second in both the 200 free (1:57.44) and 200 back (2:07.81), while Baber came in second in the 200 IM (2:12.07) and third in the 100 breast (1:09.36).

Claudia Barnett (Charlotte, N.C. / South Mecklenburg) swam on both the 200 medley relay (1:49.72) and the 200 free relay.

Myla Rice (Alexandria, Va. / T.C. Williams) completed the field of Generals with multiple individual Top 3 finishes. She finished second in the 50 free (25.15) and the 100 free (54.73).
