LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's swimming team posted a 102-point win on Saturday afternoon, defeating Randolph-Macon, 176-74, at home.
Highlights from the meet:
-The Generals won all 14 events on the day and had 10 different swimmers post the 12 individual event wins. In total, 12 Generals contributed to the 14 wins.
-Junior
Todd Echols (Winston Salem, N.C. / RJ Reynolds) and sophomore
Malachi Eberly (Reading, Pa. / Wilson) led the way in the individual races with a pair of wins each. Echols placed first in the 100 breast (1:02.08) and 200 IM (2:02.73), while Eberly won the 50 free (21.97) and 500 free (5:01.06). Echols also helped the 200 medley relay (1:38.13) to a win to open the meet and Eberly swam on the winning 200 free relay (1:27.22) to close the meet.

Colin Whiting (Henrico, Va. / Douglas S. Freeman) and sophomore
Will Hughes (Fairfax, Va. / James W. Robinson Secondary) won one individual race and swam on a winning relay. Whiting won the 100 fly (53.11) and swam third on the 200 medley relay. Hughes topped the field in the 100 back (54.82) and swam anchor on the 200 free relay.
-First-year
Devin Bateman (Fredericksburg, Va. / Stafford) swam on both relays to round out the swimmers who contributed to multiple wins.
