LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University has announced that it has paused all intercollegiate athletic contests due to COVID-19 environment levels on campus.
 
This pause means that Washington and Lee will not be competing in athletic competition at least through Sunday, February 7.  This action results in the following intercollegiate contests having been canceled:
 
January 30 – Men's Basketball vs. Ferrum
January 30 – Men's & Women's Swimming vs. Lynchburg
January 31 – Women's Basketball at Randolph-Macon 
February 2 – Men's Basketball at Bridgewater
February 5 – Men's & Women's Swimming vs. Bridgewater
February 6 – Wrestling at Ferrum
February 6 – Women's Basketball vs. Lynchburg
February 7 – Men's Basketball vs. Virginia Wesleyan
 
The University will continue to monitor the campus environment and further announcements will be forthcoming regarding W&L's potential for a return to competition after February 7.
