ASHLAND, Va. – The No. 19 Washington and Lee women's swimming team earned a 146-110 dual meet win over Randolph-Macon on Saturday.
Highlights from the meet:
-The Generals won 10 out of the 14 events on the day, all coming in the first 11 races before swimming exhibitions for the final three. All told, eight different swimmers combined for nine individual wins.
-Senior
Ali MacQueen (Memphis, Tenn. / St. Mary's Episcopal School) led the way for W&L with two individual wins. She emerged victorious in the 200 fly (2:12.45) and 100 free (55.95).
Sophomore
Caroline Baber (Richmond, Va. / Collegiate School) and first-year
Sally Ennis (Richmond, Va. / Collegiate School) also contributed to wins. Baber won the 100 breast (1:09.36) and Ennis placed first in the 50 free (26.39), while they both helped the 200 medley relay (1:52.08) to a win as well.
