LEXINGTON, Va. – The No. 14 Washington and Lee women's swimming team improved to 4-0 in dual meets on the season with a 168-88 win over Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon.
Highlights from the meet:
-W&L won all 14 events on the day as eight different swimmers logged at least one individual win, with four Generals winning multiple individual events.
-The Generals were led by juniors Emily Hageboeck (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) and Ali MacQueen (Memphis, Tenn./St. Mary's Episcopal School) who both had two individual wins and swam on separate winning relays. Hageboeck took first in the 100 (1:06.98) and 200 breaststroke (2:22.85) events and swam the second leg for the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.32). MacQueen's individual wins came in the 100 freestyle (54.81) and 100 butterfly (59.11), while she also swam the second leg on the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.01).
-Among the other multi-win Generals were senior Jordan Watson (Fayetteville, Ga./Whitewater) and sophomore Olivia Luzzio (Goshen, Ky./North Oldham) who both won twice. Watson was victorious in the 500 (5:19.38) and 1000 freestyle (10:52.75) events, while Luzzio won the 100 (1:02.67) and 200 backstroke (2:15.04) races.
