ASHLAND, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's swimming team defeated Randolph-Macon on Saturday at the Estes Aquatic Center, but team scores were not available.
Highlights From the Meet
- The Generals recorded first-place finishes in 13 out of the 14 events, while also placing second in 11 of the events.
- First-years Patrick Sullivan (Pawleys Island, S.C. / Waccamaw) and Danny Lynch (Richmond, Va. / Trinity Episcopal School) led the way for the Generals with each of them placing first in two events. Sullivan was also part of the 200-yard free relay that placed first in a time of 1:28.06.
- Sophomore Sammy Logue (Fallston, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) placed first in the 50-yard free (22.40), second in the 100-yard free (51.07) and was a part of the winning 200-yard free relay (1:28.06). Sophomore Jared Nickodem (Jackson, Wis. / Cedarburg Senior) earned two second-place finishes in the 100-yard back (57.06) and 100-yard fly (54.60), while also swimming on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:41.48).
