W&L Women's Swim Takes Double-Dual over CU and MU

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's swim team had three multiple-event winners as it went on to defeat Catholic University, 145-107, and Marymount University, 156-91, in a double-dual on Saturday afternoon at Cy Twombly Pool.

First-year Lauren Kasoff (Owings Mills, Md./Saint Paul's), junior Jocelyn Cassada (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) and junior Katie Salvati (Roselle Park, N.J./Mount Saint Mary Academy) all claimed two individual victories on the day, while Kasoff and Cassada also swam on the top-finishing 200 medley relay.

Kasoff finished tops in the 200 free (2:01.21) and 100 fly (1:02.94), in addition to joining Cassada, sophomore Brittany Ross (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and sophomore Izzy Brassfield (Greensboro N.C./Greensboro Day) on the 200 medley relay squad that recorded a top time of 1:56.43. Cassada was best in the 50 free (25.92) and 200 back (2:16.21), while Salvati claimed victories in the 100 back (1:03.09) and 400 IM (4:53.47).

Other individual winners for W&L included Brittany Ross in the 200 fly (2:17.49), Brassfield in the 100 free (56.55) and sophomore Delaney Rolfe (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) in the 500 free (5:20.72).

The Generals return to action on Saturday as they travel to Johns Hopkins for an 11:00 am meet.
