W&L Women's Swimming Tops Randolph-Macon, 153-102

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's swim team captured eight event victories as it defeated ODAC-rival Randolph-Macon, 153-102, on Saturday afternoon at Cy Twombly Pool.

Six different swimmers claimed first-place finishes, as W&L (2-1) was paced by sophomore Delaney Rolfe (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) and junior Katie Salvati (Roselle Park, N.J./Mount Saint Mary Academy), who both claimed two event wins. Rolfe took the top spot in the 200 free (1:59.84) and 500 free (5:23.24), while Salvati was victorious in the 100 back (1:03.32) and 200 back (2:14.06).

Other event winners included sophomores Ann McCampbell (Oklahoma City, Okla./Casady School) in the 1000 free (11:06.95) and Brittany Ross (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) in the 200 fly (2:15.49), junior Dana Fredericks (Yorktown, Va./York) swimming the 200 breast in a time of 2:35.31 and first-year Lauren Kasoff (Owings Mills, Md./Saint Paul's) recording a time of 1:02.50 in the 100 fly.

The Generals return to action on Friday as they travel to face Sweet Briar in an ODAC meet at 6:00 pm.
