LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's swim team continued its ODAC campaign by hosting Guilford and Randolph-Macon on Friday night. The Generals defeated the Quakers, 224-32, but were downed by the Yellow Jackets, 135-126.
The Blue and White were paced by the performances of freshman Jenna Worsham (Cumming, Ga./Wesleyan School), sophomore Lindsey Strachan (Midlothian, Va./Maggie Walker Governor's School) and sophomore Susan Mahoney (Richmond, Va./St. Catherines).
Worsham took first place in the 200 free (2:03.26) and the 200 breast (2:36.71) and was a member of the winning 200 free relay (1:44.58). Strachan won the 200 back (2:11.82) and placed second in the 500 free (5:26.51), while Mahoney placed first in the 200 IM (2:17.71) and second in 100 free (57.73).
Both the W&L women's and men's swim team return to action on Sunday, Nov. 12, against Gettysburg at 1:00 pm in Lexington, Va.
