CARLISLE, Pa. -- The Washington and Lee women's swimming team upped its record to 9-2 with wins over Dickinson and Bryn Mawr on Saturday afternoon in Carlisle, Pa. The Generals defeated the host Red Devils, 107-98, and downed the Owls, 167-35.
The quartet of sophomore Jess Cobb (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), freshman Jessica Shaw (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park), sophomore Amy Roberson (Nacogdoches, Texas/Nacogdoches), and freshman Melissa Ginder (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal) captured the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:57.39.
Roberson was also victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.53), while senior Kristine Holda (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) placed first in the 100-yard freestyle (57.08).
Additionally, freshman Julianne Miata (Valhalla, N.Y./Westlake) won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:23.38.
W&L is back in action at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational starting on Sat., Dec. 3 at 9:00 am.
