
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recently announced its 2010 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and the Washington and Lee mens and womens teams were among those honored.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.

Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer/track & field athlete Maggie Sutherland (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and senior basketball/track & field athlete Ben Goetsch (Timonium, Md./Gilman), who were selected as the Pres Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

The Washington and Lee mens and womens outdoor track and field teams competed in the 2010 Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship on Friday and Saturday at Bridgewater College. The Generals claimed 10 All-ODAC citations, five individual champions and three school records in addition to first-year Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) being named ODAC Rookie of the Year.
