The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recently announced its 2010 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and the Washington and Lee men’s and women’s teams were among those honored.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.
Washington and Lee sophomore Tyler Grant (Suwanee, Ga./South Forsyth) set a new school-record in the decathlon with 5,798 points at the CNU Combined Challenge in an attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Sunday afternoon.
The Washington and Lee men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams competed in the 2010 Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship on Friday and Saturday at Bridgewater College. The Generals claimed 10 All-ODAC citations, five individual champions and three school records in addition to first-year Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) being named ODAC Rookie of the Year.
