
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

The Washington and Lee mens and womens tennis programs dominated the 2010 College Division All-State teams as selected by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

Washington and Lee first-year Hayden White (Baltimore, Md./Towson) fell in the opening round of the NCAA Singles Championship held at Oberlin College on Friday morning.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.

Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer/track & field athlete Maggie Sutherland (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and senior basketball/track & field athlete Ben Goetsch (Timonium, Md./Gilman), who were selected as the Pres Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.
