The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

Washington and Lee senior first baseman Hunter Serenbetz (Stamford, Conn./Taft) has been named to the South Region Rawlings Gold Glove Team as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.

Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer/track & field athlete Maggie Sutherland (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and senior basketball/track & field athlete Ben Goetsch (Timonium, Md./Gilman), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

For the third season in a row, the Washington and Lee baseball team teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its Great Strides Campaign.
