INDIANAPOLIS. Ind. -- Peter Dean (Vienna, Va./James Madison), a recent graduate of Washington and Lee University, has been awarded a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Postgraduate Scholarship. The award is a $7,500 scholarship for academic work beyond the baccalaureate degree as a full-time or part-time graduate student.

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee University has announced the 17th class to be inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame. Two members, Howard Dobbins '41, '42L and Frank Brooks '46 will be inducted at the University's Five-Star General Dinner on Fri., Oct. 1, while four others, Jack Emmer, David Redmond '66, '69L, Chris Cavalline '83 and Nancy Mitchell Hatcher '92, will be inducted at the Hall of Fame dinner on Fri., Sept. 17. LEXINGTON, Va. -- Following it's 2-1 victory over seventh-ranked Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Championship match, the Washington and Lee women's soccer team has been ranked No. 6 in the November 10 edition of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III poll.

The award is a $6,900 scholarship for academic work beyond the baccalaureate degree as a full-time or part-time graduate student.
