ALL-AMERICANS
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior running back Chris
Sullivan (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) and senior offensive
lineman Mat Rapoza (Kill Devil Hills, N.C./Manteo) were both
selected as Preseason All-Americans by Lindy's College Football
Preview Magazine. Sullivan was a first team pick as
an all-purpose runner, while Rapoza was a second team selection at
offensive line.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Washington and Lee senior defender Eloise Priest
(Alexandria, Va./St. Stephens-St. Agnes) was named the Division III
Defensive Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's
Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) prior to the North-South game
on June 8.

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 2002 USILA Division III Men's Lacrosse
All-America teams have been announced and Washington and Lee

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee junior women's tennis player
Erika Proko (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day) has earned All-America
honors by advancing to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III
Women's Tennis Individual Championships in Sweet Briar, Va. In
addition, Proko and senior Melissa Hatley (Columbia, S.C./Heathwood

members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade point

Washington and Lee field hockey team placed two players on the
All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference team that was released on

SALEM, Va. -- The All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's
soccer team was released on Wednesday afternoon and Washington and
Lee had six players honored.

SALEM, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's soccer team placed six
players on the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference team in voting
by the league's coaches.
W&L VOLLEYBALL EARNS NCAA TOURNAMENT

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team received
the third seed and will face sixth-seeded Christopher Newport on
Thursday evening at 5:00 pm CST in the first round of the NCAA
Division III South Regional held in San Antonio, Texas. The winner
of the match will advance to meet Emory University in a South
Regional semifinal on Friday.

afternoon. The Generals completed the fall season with a 301.7
