ATLANTA, Ga. — The Washington and Lee volleyball team totaled a -.025 hitting percentage, as eighth-ranked Emory swept the Blue and White, 3-0.
The Generals (18-11) tallied 20 kills and 22 errors on 80 total attempts, while the Eagles (21-5) hit .244 (25 kills, 14 errors & 86 total attempts) in winning the match, 25-20, 25-18, 25-5.
Junior outside hitter Allison Webb (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) led the team with seven kills and three digs. Sophomore middle blocker Courtney Berry (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) had four kills and four blocks.
Senior middle hitter Sydney Leimbach registered eight kills on 13 attempts with one error (.538 hitting percentage) for Emory. Junior libero Elyse Thompson tallied 10 digs, Karissa Dzurik had seven kills and five digs.
The Generals played fifth-ranked Thomas More later on Saturday in their final match of the regular season.
