FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has announced that Washington and Lee has swept the league's Commissioner's Cups for the fourth straight season.
The Generals claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the 17th year in a row. W&L had an overall rating of 0.849, besting Randolph-Macon, which finished second with an 0.803. Lynchburg finished third at 0.775. The Blue & White amassed 216.5 of a possible 255.0 points overall.
Washington and Lee also claimed the women's cup for the 16th year in a row and won the men's cup for the fourth straight year.
In the women's cup competition, W&L posted an 0.848 rating by recording 112.0 of a possible 132.0 points during the year. Randolph-Macon was second with an 0.817 rating. In the men's competition, the Generals logged an 0.850 rating with 104.5 of a possible 123.0 points. Randolph-Macon was second with a 0.786 rating.
This marks the 13th time that W&L has swept all three cups in the same season.
Washington and Lee had another tremendous year of athletics competition, posting a 204-101-4 (.667) overall record. The Generals won 13 ODAC Championships, the most-ever by any ODAC school in a single year.
