November 15, 2014
W&L Women's Cross Country Places 11th at NCAA Regional
The Washington and Lee women’s cross country took 11th of 29 teams at the NCAA South/Southeast Region Championship hosted by Berry on Saturday. Emory claimed the team title with 62 points, while Christopher Newport and Centre tied for second (121). The Generals finished with 291 points.

Led by three Second Team All-ODAC runners, the Washington and Lee women’s cross country team took third at the ODAC Championship hosted by Guilford on Saturday.

Babington Garners ODAC Athlete of the Week Honor
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its Athletes of the Week on Monday for the week ending September 14, and Washington and Lee sophomore Alana Babington (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal) was named the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week.

W&L Women's XC Claims Second at John Tucker Invitational
Sophomore Alana Babington (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal) won her first collegiate race to pace the Washington and Lee women’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the first annual John Tucker Invitational on Saturday.

Strehler and Babington Earn ODAC Runner of the Week Honors
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its Runners of the Week on Monday and sophomore Mac Strehler (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) garnered the honor on the men’s side and sophomore Alana Babington (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal) earned the recognition on the women’s side for the week ending September 7.

W&L Women's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at the Sewanee Invitational
The Washington and Lee women’s cross country team opened its 2014 season on Saturday at the 6K Sewanee Invitational. The Generals placed fourth out of the seven teams at the meet with 87 points.

W&L Women's Cross Country 2014 Season Preview
The Washington and Lee women’s cross country program starts a new era this weekend when it opens the 2014 season at the Sewanee Invitational. The Generals are now under the direction of Head Coach Michael Dager. He begins his first season with the squad this fall, after serving as the head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Gwynedd Mercy the last five years.
