W&L Women's XC Takes Fourth at ODAC's

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. — Senior Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) and junior Casey Mackintosh (Marietta, Ga./George Walton) each earned First Team All-ODAC honors on Saturday, as the Washington and Lee women's cross country team took fourth at the ODAC Championships hosted by Hampden-Sydney.

Bridgewater claimed the team title with 22 points, Eastern Mennonite was second (58 points), Lynchburg took third (90 points) and the Generals totaled 97 points.

Madison placed fifth overall with a time of 24:17.40, and Mackintosh finished sixth in 24:22.40. Madison was also named the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Sophomore Rachel Solomon (Jacksonville, Fla./Stanton College Prep) placed 20th (26:00.90), and first-year Liz Spruill (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) came in 32nd with a time of 26:46.10. First-year Kate McCreary (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman) rounded out the scoring in 34th (26:51.80).

Bridgewater had the Top 3 finishers, with Kaylee Kubisiak claiming the individual title in 23:36.80.

The Generals next compete at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional hosted by Christopher Newport on November 16.
