The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2010 Volleyball Preseason Poll and Washington and Lee was picked to finish second in the annual coach’s survey.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently released its 2009-2010 All-Academic Team and Washington and Lee once again led the league in number of athletes honored.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the 2010 Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the seventh-straight year.

Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer/track & field athlete Maggie Sutherland (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and senior basketball/track & field athlete Ben Goetsch (Timonium, Md./Gilman), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

Washington and Lee senior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) has been named to the College Division Volleyball All-State Second Team as selected by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
