Tim Cole is entering his fourth season as an assistant volleyball coach at Washington and Lee. During his first three seasons, the Generals have compiled a 74-29 overall record. The 2010 team went 28-7 overall and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, while last season's squad won the conference regular-season title and finished 27-8 overall.
Cole came to W&L after serving as the head men's volleyball coach at Southern Vermont for the 2009 season. Prior to Southern Vermont, Cole was a graduate assistant for the women's volleyball program at Otterbein College in 2007 and 2008.
A four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain for the Juniata men's volleyball team, Cole was twice named an All-American (2004, 2005). He also served as a student assistant with the Juniata women's volleyball team. Following his collegiate playing days, Cole played professionally overseas, most notably for Moerser SC of the German Bundesliga.
He graduated in 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in literature and writing.
