GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Washington and Lee volleyball team registered a .353 hitting percentage en route to a 3-0 sweep at Guilford on Wednesday evening.
The Generals (15-10, 9-1 ODAC) totaled 34 kills on 68 attempts with 10 errors in a 25-13, 25-21, 25-15 victory. W&L held the Quakers (5-15, 2-7 ODAC) to a .024 hitting percentage, forcing 20 errors in 82 attempts with only 22 kills.
Senior outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) led the Blue and White with 11 kills and 10 digs. First-year outside hitter Meg Guignon (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) and junior middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Saline) each had seven kills.
Senior outside hitter Kelsey Ruehling led Guilford with 10 kills and eight digs. Senior setter Maile Munro added 16 assists.
The Generals return to action on Saturday when they take on Washington College in a neutral-site contest at 2:00 pm at Franklin & Marshall. W&L then plays the Diplomats at 4:00 pm.
