LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's volleyball team has qualified for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, which starts on Wednesday, November 6. W&L will host eighth-seeded Shenandoah in one of the quarterfinals at 6:30 pm.
The Generals enter the championship as the top seed, finishing the regular season with a 25-6 overall record and a 10-1 mark in the ODAC. W&L ended conference play tied with Randolph-Macon, but won the tiebreaker due to a 3-1 victory over the Yellow Jackets on September 13.
Senior outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) leads the team in kills (367) and broke the ODAC career kills record on Saturday. She now has 1,666 in her four years. Senior setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) is the team leader in assists (966) and service aces (52). First-year middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Salin) leads the team in hitting percentage (.358) and blocks (89), while junior defensive specialist Kelly McManus (Osprey, Fla./Pine View) has a team-best 383 digs.
