W&L Volleyball Earns 3-0 Win Over Hanover

MARYVILLE, Va. — In its third match at the Maryville Invitational, the Washington and Lee volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Hanover on Saturday.

The Generals (3-0) took the first set, 25-22, cruised in the second, 25-16, and closed out the match in the third, 25-22. Sophomore outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic) led W&L with 11 kills. Senior outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) added 10 kills.

On the defensive side, junior defensive specialist Kelly McManus (Osprey, Fla./Pine View) tallied eight digs, and sophomore right side Maddie Kosar (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) recorded eight digs. Senior setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) notched 26 assists.

Further statistics were not immediately available. The Generals conclude the invitational against Maryville later on Saturday.
