LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team won its 11th-straight match and remained unbeaten in the ODAC with a 3-0 win over Randolph College on Friday night at the RAD Center.
The Generals improved to 24-2 overall and 9-0 in the ODAC with a 25-14, 25-13, 25-21 win over the WildCats (11-10, 2-6 ODAC).
W&L, which hit .307 as a team, compared to .156 for Randolph, was led by sophomore outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's), who posted a match-high 12 kills. Senior outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) had 11 kills with just one hitting error and senior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) added nine kills.
Boles and junior libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) each paced the defense with nine digs, while Hill had three of W&L's nine service aces and Boles added two. Sophomore setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) also had a pair of service aces to go with 33 assists.
Shana Nelson led Randolph with 10 kills while hitting .692 and Sam Sublett and Jordan Templin added four kills apiece. Kerry McMichael had 15 assists and Lexi Harrington recorded seven digs.
The Generals wrap up ODAC play with a 1:00 pm match at Lynchburg on Friday.
