DANVILLE, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-0 win over Greensboro on Saturday afternoon on day two of the Cougar Classic hosted by Averett University.
W&L, which won by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-7, was led by sophomore outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's), who totaled 12 kills and hit at a .400 clip.
Senior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) also had an efficient offensive game, recording seven kills and hitting .545.
Junior libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the Generals' defense with 16 digs, while adding four service aces. Senior defensive specialist Megan Tomlinson (Petersburg, Pa./Huntingdon Area) added six digs and three service aces.
Sophomore setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) posted 24 assists and 11 digs.
W&L wraps up play at the Cougar Classic when it takes on host Averett at 12:00 pm.
