W&L Volleyball Downs Mary Baldwin, 3-0
STAUNTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team posted
its 10th-straight win with 3-0 decision over Mary Baldwin on
Tuesday night.
The Generals (15-10) moved five games over .500 with the 27-25,
25-12, 27-25, win.
First-year Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led W&L with
20 digs, while senior Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee
Mission South) added 13 digs and a team-high 30 assists.
Junior Marah Schmitz (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) paced the offense with
11 kills, senior Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) had
eight kills and sophomore Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay
School) chipped in six kills.
Junior Summer Goldberg (Marietta, Ga./Woodward Academy) added four
service aces and five digs.
The Generals return to action on Saturday when they host
Bridgewater and Marietta beginning at 11:00 am.
