W&L Women's Track & Field Competes at Liberty Twilight

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team sent a select group of athletes to compete the Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday.

Highlights From the Meet

  • Senior Kaleigh Hinton (Florham Park, N.J./Hanover Park) finished fourth in the 400m hurdles with a career-best time of 1:04.99.
  • In the 5,000m, the Generals had three runners in the Top 7. Junior Kirsten McMichael (Eighty Four, Pa./Ringgold) was fourth in 19:13.06, junior Maggie Seybold (Cockeysville, Md./McDonogh School) took fifth in 19:14.16 and first-year Didi Pace (Centreville, Va./Westfield) finished seventh (19:45.21).
  • First-year Maddie Hoaglund (Hoover, Ala./Westminster School at Oak Mountain) claimed second in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 12:59.99.
