W&L Women's Track and Field Finishes Competition at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. — First-year Katie Harris (Ashburn, Va./Rock Ridge) registered a new personal best by almost 30 seconds in the 3,000m to pace the Washington and Lee women's track and field team on Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays.   

Highlights From the Meet

  • Harris crossed the finish line 13th in the 3,000m with a time of 10:47.12. Her previous career-best time was 11:16.20.  
  • First-year Anna Nelson (Arvada, Colo./Standley Lake) and sophomore Ellie Bradach (Roswell, Ga./Wesleyan) each registered a new career best in the mile. Nelson recorded a time of 5:28.83 and Bradach had a time of 5:41.51.  
  • The Distance Medley Relay finished sixth with a time of 12:49.61. The quartet consisted of first-years Annie Cunningham (Clifton, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy), Kathryn Fagan (Metairie, La./Metairie Park Country Day), Didi Pace (Centreville, Va./Westfield) and sophomore Julia Moody (Houston, Texas/St. John's School).
