SALEM, Va. — Sophomore Julia Moody (Houston, Texas/St. John's School) won the 3,000m to lead the Washington and Lee women's track and field team on day two of the Roanoke Bast-Cregger Invitational on Saturday.
Highlights From the Meet
- Moody set a new facility record, and registered the third-fastest time in program history in the event with a time of 10:34.40. The time also improved Moody's personal best by over 24 seconds. Junior Kirsten McMichael (Eight Four, Pa./Ringgold) was fourth in the race in 10:51.27, and sophomore Katie Bearup (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley) claimed fifth in 10:55.26.
- First-year Emma Coleman (Parkton, Md./Hereford) recorded the fourth-best mark in program history in the weight throw at 9.48m (31'1.75"). Junior Liz Todd (Oldwick, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's School) had the fifth-best toss in program history in the event at 7.52m (24'8.25").
- First-year Kathryn Fagan (Metairie, La./Metairie Park Country Day) claimed fourth in the 600m with a time of 1:49.93.
