    Yates and Logue Garner ODAC Athlete of the Week Honors The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its Athletes of the Week on Monday for the week ending January 15, and Washington and Lee sophomore Samantha Yates (Birmingham, Ala. / St. Paul’s School) was named the Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while first-year Sam Logue (Fallston, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) earned the Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor.

    Numerous W&L Students Earn Fall Scholar-Athlete Awards Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 242 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50. The prior record for scholar-athletes in the fall or winter term was 224 set during the fall of 2014.

    Lee and Stanton Garner All-Academic Accolades From USTFCCCA The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Division III Women’s Scholar Athletes of the Year and the All-Academic honorees on Friday, and Washington and Lee rising seniors Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) and Lizzy Stanton (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South) earned All-Academic recognition. The Generals were also named a USTFCCCA 2016 All-Academic Team.
