Lee Breaks W&L 200m Record at Hopkins Loyola Invite

BALTIMORE, Md. — Junior Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) broke a school record in the 200m to lead the Washington and Lee women's track and field team at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational on Saturday. The meet consisted of Division I and III teams.

Lee finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 25.23. It broke the previous record of 25.58 set by Stacy Doornbos in 2008. Lee now holds 11 records at W&L. Junior Kara Farroni (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South) competed in the event and set a new personal best in 27.05.

Lee also finished third in the long jump at 5.37m (17'7.50") and sixth in the triple jump at 10.84m (35'6.75").

Sophomore Kaleigh Hinton (Florham Park, N.J./Hanover Park) set new career bests in both hurdle events. She was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.82 and seventh in the 100m hurdles at 15.94. The Generals had three athletes set new personal bests in the 800m. First-year Maggie Seybold (Cockeysville, Md./McDonogh School) claimed eighth in 2:18.55, sophomore Lily Arnold (Jacksonville, Fla./The Bolles School) was 11th with a time of 2:19.49 and junior Catherine Fonvielle (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) took 12th (2:19.67).

In the 100m, senior Molly Ungrady (Ponte Vedra Beach. Fla./The Bolles School) registered a new personal best by taking 11th in 12.76. Senior Maggie Kleber (Beach Haven, N.J./Southern Regional) placed ninth in the high jump with a leap of 1.53m (5'0.25"). Junior Lizzy Stanton (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South) notched a new personal best in the pole vault, taking fourth at 3.55m (11'7.75"). Senior Kaela Fiutak (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) was sixth in the event at 3.10m (10'2.00").

The 4x100m relay recorded its fastest time of the season taking seventh (51.06). The quartet consisted of junior Ali Peacock (Libertyville, Ill./Vernon HIlls), Ungrady, Farroni and first-year Jessica Rosenwasser (New York, N.Y./Convent of the Sacred Heart).

The Generals next compete at the ODAC Championship hosted by Lynchburg on Friday and Saturday.
