LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team sent a small squad of athletes to the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell this weekend, and opened up competition on Friday.
First-year Lizzy Stanton (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South) tied for fourth in the pole vault at 3.45m (11'03.75m). It tied her own W&L school record, which she set two weeks ago (January 17) at the Liberty Open.
In the 200m prelims, senior Julia Murray (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) finished in 28.12, but did not advanced to the finals on Saturday.
Day two of the Bison Open starts on Saturday at 9:30 am.
