W&L's Schultz Receives NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released its 2013 fall postgraduate scholarship winners and Washington and Lee’s Lauren Schultz ’13 was among the 29 Division I, II and III women that were recognized.

Madison & Lee Lead Women's T&F to Third at ODAC Championship
The Washington and Lee women’s track and field team tied for third at the ODAC Indoor Championship on Sunday at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Va. Bridgewater took the team title with 125 points, Roanoke was second (97) and Lynchburg and the Generals tied with 90 points each.

First-year Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) broke the W&L long jump record in leading the Washington and Lee women’s track and field team at the Marietta Open on Saturday.

Stanton Sets W&L Record & Madison Wins Twice at Liberty Kickoff
The Washington and Lee women’s indoor track and field team opened the 2014 season this weekend at the Liberty Kickoff, and first-year Lizzie Stanton (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South) made the most of her first collegiate meet by breaking the indoor school record in the pole vault with a mark of 3.45m (11’03.75”).

Numerous W&L Students Earn Fall Scholar-Athlete Awards
Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 190 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50.

W&L Women's T&F Picked Second in Indoor ODAC Poll
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2013-14 women’s indoor track and field preseason coaches’ poll on Friday, and Washington and Lee was picked second out of nine schools. The Generals received four first-place votes and 56 total points.

Fugate Garners All-Academic Honor from USTFCCCA
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Division III Women’s Scholar Athletes of the Year and the All-Academic honorees recently, and Washington and Lee rising junior Janey Fugate (Atlanta, Ga./Whitefield Academy) garnered All-Academic laurels. The Generals were also named a USTFCCCA 2013 All-Academic Team.
