W&L Women's T&F Competes at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field competed at the VMI Winter Relays on Saturday, which consisted of Division I and III athletes.

The Generals took the Top 2 collegiate spots in the pole vault with sophomore Jillian Katterhagen (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) finishing with a mark of 3.30m (10'10.00") and first-year Kaela Fiutak (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) jumping 3.15m (10'04.00").

In the high jump, junior Leigh Dannhauser (Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville) came in second in Division III with a height of 1.47m (4'09.75").

Senior Marissa Thompson (Chatham, Va./Chatham) had two second-place finishes. She ran 8.94 in the 55mH and jumped 10.05m (32'11.75") in the triple jump. 

The Generals return to action next Friday at the ODAC Championships in Lynchburg at 12:00 pm.
