NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Four athletes of the Washington and Lee women's track and field competed at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, held at North Central on Thursday and Friday evening.
The Generals were led by sophomore Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris), who placed third in the 1,500m, running a personal-best time of 4:41.57. First-year Janey Fugate (Atlanta, Ga./Whitefield Academy) broke her own school record in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 1:03.59 to take fourth place.
First-year Jillian Katterhagen (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) finished ninth in the pole vault, jumping 3.26m in the event. Junior Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) wrapped up W&L's performances, as she ran the 10,000m in a time of 37:42.26 to post the second fastest time in program history.
The Generals return to action on Wednesday when they compete at the Bridgewater Last Chance Meet.
