Ringstad is in his second season as assistant women’s tennis coach after serving as the interim head women’s tennis coach at the University of California-Santa Cruz during the 2012-13 school year.
In his first season with the Generals, the team won its 12-straight ODAC title and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where it faced Sewanee in second round action. W&L defeated the Tigers, 5-0, but fell to top-seeded Emory in the third round. Under Ringstad's guidance, Sonja Meighan '15 and Patricia Kirkland '15 were selected to participate in the NCAA Individual Tournament for the second consecutive year. Meighan was also named ODAC Player of the Year, while seven other players earned First Team All-ODAC honors.
Ringstad led the Banana Slugs to a 10-8 overall record and a No. 14 ranking in the final Division III poll. His team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, while three players qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships. During his time at UC-Santa Cruz, Ringstad also assisted the sports information department and he has served as a counselor for the Nike Tennis Camps since 2012.
Ringstad was an assistant tennis coach at Stevens Institute of Technology after graduating from there in 2011 with a bachelor of science in business and technology management. He is also working towards a master of business administration in technology management at Stevens.
As an undergraduate, Ringstad was a four-year starter for the Ducks, serving as a team captain and graduating second on the school’s all-time wins list. He was a first team all-conference selection as a sophomore, and a second team honoree his final two years.
