ELON, N.C. -- The 16th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Division I Elon on Saturday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
W&L took the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 3 singles. However, the Phoenix took all six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 12-5 on the season.
With the loss, the Generals slipped to 8-1 overall.
The Blue & White will return to the courts on Tuesday when it travels to Hollins for a 4:00 pm match.
