W&L Women's Tennis Stings the Hornets, 9-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team flew past Shenandoah, 9-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Duchossois Tennis Center.

The Generals went undefeated in doubles play en route to sweeping the three points. W&L then dropped just two total points in the six singles matches in cruising to the win.

W&L improved to 7-1 overall and 7-0 in the ODAC, while the Hornets dropped to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to Hollins for a 4:00 pm match.
