W&L Women's Tennis Knocks Off Division I Radford, 7-2
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The seventh-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 7-2 victory over Division I Radford on Friday evening at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Generals (1-0) won No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to jump out to a 2-1 lead, then took all of the singles positions except for a loss at No. 4 singles.
The loss dropped the Highlanders to 0-3 on the season.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Mar. 1-3 as it competes in the ITA National Indoor Championships in Greencastle, Ind.
