W&L Women's Swimming Finishes 21st at NCAA Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Washington and Lee women's swimming team tallied 33 points to tie for 21st out of 51 teams at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships held at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Saturday evening.

Highlights From the Meet:

  • Sophomore Emily Hageboeck (Charleston, W. Va. / George Washington) earned First Team All-America honors for the fourth time in her career after placing seventh in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:18.41.
  • Senior Cassidy Fuller (Moraga, Calif. / Campolindo), junior Elle Chancey (Tampa, Fla. / Berkeley Preparatory School), and sophomores Ali MacQueen (Memphis, Tenn. / St. Mary's Episcopal School) and Kelly Amar (Mount Vernon, N.Y. / The Ursuline School) earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after claiming 15th with a time of 3:29.42.
  • MacQueen individually competed in the 100-yard free and placed 37th with a time of 52.60.
  • Emory took the title with 603 points, while Kenyon finished second with 500 points and Williams took third with 412 markers.
